Sugar & Spice Headband

Sugar & Spice Headband

You know the old poem about little girls being made from sugar & spice and everything nice? Well here is a headband that is sure to please. A quick project that can be customized in so many ways. Plus this headband has such a nice stretch to it that it keeps all those flyaway hairs at bay.

Materials:

  •     Medium worsted yarn (I use Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice® acrylic yarn)
  •     Size H/8 (5.000MM) crochet hook
  •     Yarn needle
  •     Scissors

Abbreviations:

  •     sc: single crochet
  •     dc: Double crochet
  •     tr: Triple crochet
  •     sl st: slip stitch
  •     ch: chain

Notes:

Headband should be stretched a little when measuring for sizing, it will bounce back a little after being worn but since it is not elastic there will not be a ton of stretchiness to it.

Sizing:

Measure the persons head for whom you are making the headband for and subtract 1 inch. This is the length you will want to measure to.

Headband Pattern:

R1 – sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 5 (6 sc total), ch 1, turn
